Return & Refund Policy


TATKA strives to provide the best possible service to its customers and has put the appropriate measures in place to ensure all its staff and suppliers are fully aware of, and comply with the Consumer Protection Act.

We are committed to operate our business in terms of the requirements of the Consumer Protection Act and our returns policy is aligned therewith.

Return/ Refund Policy:

We accept grocery items returns. You can return unopened grocery items in the original packaging within 5 days of your purchase with receipt or proof of purchase. If 5 days or more have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or an exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be

In the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If product is defective, damaged you may contact us to request a return/refund of your purchase within 24 hours for a refund or exchange.

If you buy any perishable product in bad condition or any expired frozen packed goods. The item will be replaced to you.

Products may not be return/refund or exchange under the following circumstances:

We’re very sorry, but any Perishable Items (specially Meat, Fish, Frozen Items & Produce) cannot be return/refund or exchange due to the fact that a customer had a change of mind in respect of the particular purchased item, this is due to Safe Food for Canadians Act (SFCA) and Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR). All Perishable Items from our store are sold on a non-returnable/refundable/exchangeable basis unless defective.

Custom Products (such as special orders or personalized items), and Personal Care Goods (such as beauty products).

We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

If you use or consume or any opened item or products without receipts will not be accepted

If any product(s) broken, damages or defect by you which are not consumable and are not covers up the manufacturer/traders warranty or guarantee

Any products found tampered, missing serial/UPC numbers, original packaging

Items on sale will be considered final sale.

Due to the wide range of personal taste preferences and food likes/dislikes, we unfortunately do not offer refunds or replacements for products that are “not quite to your liking.”
